Books have always been an integral part of my life. We had built-in bookshelves by my toy room when I was younger that were full of Stephen King, Agatha Christie, encyclopedias, dictionaries, and more. I was that kid – I read the encyclopedia. The library was my safe place, my quiet place, and my favorite place, in middle school especially because the librarian treated me as a person and welcomed me into the world of books. To this day, I treasure all books and libraries. They’re my escape."
