Teen Volunteers
Volunteering at the library is a great way to serve your community and gain valuable work experience. Teen volunteers can help the library and count their hours for school, scouting, or other community service projects. Teen volunteers assist the library staff with shelving, programming, community events, special projects, and on our Book Bus. We couldn't do it without you!
What to Expect When You Volunteer at the Library:
- We expect you to show up on time and fulfill your responsibilities to the best of your ability and with enthusiasm (this is key!)
- We expect you to dress and behave appropriately as you're representing our great organization while you're with us
- We expect you to have FUN (we certainly do!)
- We expect you to call or email if you find you can't get here for an assigned shift
Please note: The Teen Volunteering program is for volunteers ages 13-17. For ages 18 & up, see the Adult Volunteering page.
All teen volunteer applications for the Summer are due by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 16. Any applications received after that date will only be reviewed on an as-needed basis.
Please mark your calendars for Saturday, May 21, 2022. This date will be used as a training day to teach you non-programming tasks if you express interest on the form below. Once your application has been received, you will get an email about scheduling a time to meet on that Saturday. Plan for 1 hour worth of training. If you cannot make training this day you will need to schedule a time to meet prior to June 3.
