Support Your Library
Did you know that public funding only covers 74% of WACL's operating budget? Private donations from generous, dedicated community members help cover the budget gap and allow us to continue to inspire, engage, and educate the community through high quality, fun, creative, and informative programming and services. The library continues to grow thanks to the generosity of people like you!
Donations made to Western Allegheny Community Library are tax deductible. You can also volunteer your time, provide in-kind support, attend an event, or help spread the word about our wonderful library. However you choose to give, we thank you!
- Donate online with a credit card or bank account
- Give us a call at (724) 695-8150 with a credit card
- Checks made out to Western Allegheny Community Library (or WACL) can be mailed to 181 Bateman Road, Oakdale, PA 15071
Western Allegheny Community Library is not soliciting outside the state of PA and only accepts donations from states where we are registered. Double or even triple your financial gifts through your employer’s matching gift program. Some companies also match volunteer hours or the contributions of spouses and retirees. Check with your employer’s HR office and submit the required documentation with your donation. We will take care of the rest and maximize your gift!
Gift of Reading
Contributions to the library may be made in memory, honor, or celebration of a loved one, or to commemorate a special occasion. For a minimum gift of $25, a new book will be added to the collection with a bookplate acknowledging your special gift. You may select an area of interest for your tribute book, or our library staff would be happy to choose a quality item for you. We can also send a card to the honoree acknowledging your gift in his or her name. Give the Gift of Reading today!
You can also help the Library by donating used reading materials and media, professional services, supplies and more.
We welcome the following:
- New and gently used hardbacks, paperbacks, and magazines
